I really love the old Forgecraft knives. They are becoming harder to find and more expensive when you do find them. We find them now and again and put new handles on them and clean them up to give them new life. These are a high carbon steel knives that patina easily and come in around 11 – 12 inches. They are most likely made of 1095 and can be sharpened to a near razor finish, but they dull easily unfortunately. They aren’t hard to resharpen, even for someone who doesn’t really know what they are doing. the top knife is done is Arizona Ironwood, the middle is done in stabilized Texas Mesquite and the bottom is done in stabilized, spaulted Texas pecan wood. All are sold.
