Weige Knives has partnered with Travis Masiero of Boston, MA and Luke’s Steakhouse of Singapore to bring one of a kind, custom built oyster shuckers and steak knives to Singapore’s finest steak house. Weige Knives steak knives will be available for purchase during the holiday season and in 2017 guests will enjoy them during their dining experience in all 3 locations.
The restaurant is led by Boston native, Travis Masiero. Masiero who graduated from the prestigious Cornell University Hotel School in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management. He has also worked at the one Michelin-starred Hotel Konigshof in Germany and Clio Restaurant in Boston. Clio was voted one of Boston’s 25 Best Restaurants in 2005 by Boston Magazine. Travis left for Singapore in 2005 when a mutual friend introduced him to Devin Kimble, founder of Wine Garage, and helmed the kitchen of the wine bar at Riverside Point for three years. He liked Singapore so much he decided to start his signature franchise there.
“There are so many great things about Singapore and as a food city, there is hardly anywhere in the world that can match it,” he says. “The passion that people here have for food is amazing.”
Luke’s is inspired by the timeless and sophisticated seafood houses of America’s Atlantic Coast, Luke’s is a modern, comfortable and relaxed respite with all booth seating overlooking Singapore’s iconic Orchard Road.
Luke’s has partnered with Weige Knives to bring 24 oyster shuckers to their servers and 36 steak knives that will go on sale during the holiday season. Each pair of steak knives will be boxed in a custom, silk lined box. Starting in the spring of 2017 all three of Luke’s steakhouses will be outfitted with custom built Weige Knives steak knives for each customer to enjoy.
