Weige Knives is hiring a part time employee in our Belton, TX shop. A few conditions:
1. Must be 18+ with valid driver’s license. I may need you to run an errand to pick up parts, etc.
2. 1099, will not pay under the table.
3. Must be able to stand for long periods. Work in the heat and work in the cold.
4. Hourly pay from day 1 and will increase after 3 months. I usually don’t pay until after the first 3 months because it costs me a great deal of time / money just to get you up to speed in the first 3 months.
5. This is not like Forged in Fire. This is daily work that takes a great deal of time to get even decent at. You will be making inventory knives for the first year or two. Sometimes you will make 50 of the same knife.
6. Must be a patient worker and detail oriented. There is no place for rushing a job or moving fast in knife making.
7. Must be relatively local. Please don’t say you are willing to drive from Dallas or Austin every day. It doesn’t seem to work.
