Thanks to La Condesa Austin for having Dirk Michener and I as guest speakers at their employee event. We've never had to speak about knives for an hour, but we hope it was half interesting. Also, very cool to see the historic, secret room below the building.
We finished a knife today that is being donated to the Austin Montessori Spring Fundraiser Gala on April 2nd. 7.25" gyuto style blade w/ a TX madrone wood handle and dovetailed maple bolsters. We're happy to announce that the knife we donated to Qui to the Cure went for $1400 in the silent auction. Thanks to Paul Qui for signing the handmade leather sheath. The money helps people with cystic fibrosis live longer, healthier lives and work towards finding a cure.
